Pillar 3: Transparency Standards

Why this pillar exists

This pillar exists to establish minimum disclosure standards so people can understand what AI systems are, how they are used, and what their limits are. Transparency supports trust, accountability, and informed consent. Depending on risk level, disclosures may include: training data sources and licensing posture, model/system purpose and constraints, evaluation results, known failure modes, deployment context, and when users are interacting with AI rather than a human or a non-AI system.
